We do provide packing services and you don’t have to pack everything yourself. You can sit and relax; we can do almost everything for you. However, you should know how packing affects your bill in the end to avoid misunderstandings. Let us explain how packing works and how you pay for that.

Packing is a part of moving like disassembling furniture, wrapping it and its parts, and preparing them for transportation. However, it has a particularity that affects the total price of the move in two ways. First, packing is a time-consuming process for which you pay. Second, packing materials are not reusable so you will be charged for them separately. Fortunately, we buy them at wholesale price and our retail prices are not so different from what you see at Home Depot or any other store. Also, we can use the packing materials that you provide. If it is not enough, we can use ours.

Another important thing is to let us know that you need packing assistance in advance so we can bring materials with us.

Be aware that in case a customer packs fragile stuff by him/herself, we can ask the customer to sign a form of release of liability.  The reason is that we don’t know how belongings were packed and cannot be responsible for broken or damaged items due to improper packing.

- Furniture should be emptied before moving. We can do that for you but be aware that it takes time.

- Pets and kids should be removed from the place where moving is going on. We cannot take responsibility for them if something happens during the move.

- Unplug electronics and disconnect appliances in advance because we are not allowed to do so according to moving regulations.

- Customers are not permitted to go inside the box of the truck according to moving regulations and safety.

- Try to prepare the best parking space for our truck which will help us to save you time.

- The foreman guy will always help you to make your move easy and smooth.

Any household good with a weight over 200 pounds can be considered a bulky item. Moving them can cause property damage or injuries. We take that extra risk. Bulky and heavy items should be insured by this kind of fee. Our company doesn’t profit from bulky items charge, it goes directly to our workers.

According to the Household move regulations, one mover cannot carry an item that exceeds 70 pounds. However, sometimes our possession goes far beyond that weight.

An average bulky item charge is $150. Nevertheless, you can bargain that price with a foreman guy.

Bulky item examples are a wooden armoire, marble top dresser, buffets, pool tables, and bars. We don’t additionally charge for moving appliances if they go from the ground floor to the ground floor. However, when there are stairs, appliances can be considered bulky items.

Tips are not a requirement but are really appreciated. As in any industry, you can tip movers or not. It is more like a custom or form of labor appreciation.

In our defense, we can say that people tip everywhere, especially in places of entertainment like restaurants, bars, casinos, and hotels. In contrast to those places, movers relieve your stress and do a difficult, risky for their health job. Considering these factors, we allow ourselves to ask for a tip. The amount of it, we let your generosity decide.
